" I am that woman who...

"values simplicity "

I believe whole heartedly in freedom of expression and I believe there is beauty in all things. I am naturally drawn to people, faces and bodies. When I was young, I created a collage on my bedroom wall with pictures of peoples' faces. Before long, my walls were covered with my study of people. I didn't know it at the time, but this was the beginnings of my love of photography.

I value the space to be who you are as an individual. Art is very much in my blood. I was raised in Loveland, Colorado in a family of sculptors. Art shows have always been a part of my life and even as a young child, I saw that art is a reflection of the artist.

Live and let live; be the best you. I am inspired the beautiful, real, raw nude work of Robert Mapplethorpe. By the documentary style of Annie Leibovitz. By the honest, simplicity of Gordon Parks and Michael Wilson. I thrive on simplicity. To me, less is more.

I am accepting of people for who they are in the here and now and the potential for everyone to grow and evolve. I strive for an honest, loving, sometimes comical experience for each person in front of my lens. My camera is merely and extension of myself.
